Medium power transformer capabilities

SGB-SMIT USA provides access to the SGB-SMIT Group’s full medium power transformer portfolio, manufactured across facilities in Regensburg and Neumark, Germany and Sibiu, Romania, including:

  • Power ratings from 5 MVA to 200 MVA
  • Service voltages up to 245 kV
  • On-load tap changers with up to 22% tapping range, adjustable in up to 27 steps under load
  • Off-load tap changers for voltage adjustment off circuit
  • Common connection groups including YNd5, YNd11, Ynyn0, and YNyn6 with and without delta stabilizing windings
  • Boltless cores of high-quality cold-rolled, grain-oriented transformer steel in step-lap technique
