General Requirements – All Technicians:

  • All Candidates must pass Nationwide Background Check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Must have good mechanical ability and a good electrical working background
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two to four years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Applicants must be able to pass DOT drug screen and physical.

Current openings:


Protective Relay & Controls Technician


  • Conduct commissioning, testing, maintenance and repair of complex protective relaying schemes, metering remote control and data systems and capacitor control in generation, transmission and distribution substation environments. To facilitate the retrofit, upgrade, and replacement projects for electrical controls, SCADA, DCS and Power System Protection Equipment.


  • Testing of Electro-mechanical, Numerical and Microprocessor based Protective Relays and control devices.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of protective relaying equipment, relaying schemes, DFR equipment, SCADA systems, distribution automation systems and associated communication equipment
  • Test over current/voltage, Directional, Distance, Impedance, Sync Check, Loss of field, reverse power, Multifunction relays etc.
  • Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panel, transformers & circuit breaker change outs.
  • Conduct differential and distance relay testing.
  • Assist in developing written standard commissioning, testing and maintenance procedures for protective relaying, DFR’s, RTU’s, IED’s, Distribution Automation and associated communication systems.
  • Interpreting customer and sales submitted technical documents, quotations, and service requests and applying that data directly to the quoted task at hand.
  • Communicating technical information clearly and concisely to management and customers.
  • Travel 80% to job locations, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and properly applying pertinent technical and safety standards to the assigned work. i.e. (IEEE, NETA, NEMA, NEC).
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Trade/Tech school with 5 years of proven OTH experience in Power Systems Protection and Controls.
  • Or: Equivalent Military training plus proven OTJ experience in Power Systems Protection and Controls.
  • Or: University/College 2-4 year Engineering Technology plus related Power Systems Protection and Controls.

Location: Ideally based out of Tulsa, OK or Nashville, TN. (Must be willing to travel)


Field Service Operations Manager


  • Candidate will direct Field Services activities in an efficient manner to achieve the Company goals for customer service, safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery. The role requires occasional overnight travel to other locations, customers, and vendors as needed or required to coordinate proposals and for the successful execution of Field Service projects.


  • Must have comprehensive understanding of substation/switchgear electrical apparatus and subsystems.
  • Knowledge of and capable of repairing, testing and/or oil processing.
  • Must be fully trained in all electrical safety aspects and must be capable of leading teams to accomplish complex tasks.
  • Must demonstrate safe and sound troubleshooting skills.
  • AA degree from technical school or BS degree from accredited University or 10 years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years operational experience in a field service environment as a team or crew leader.
  • Military experience a plus.
  • Electrical theory education and/or related experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of complex electricity concepts, hydraulics and electrical and mechanical systems.

Location: Ideally based out of Louisville, OH.


Rig Operator


Operate oil processing rig to recondition insolating oil in high voltage equipment (transformers).


  • CDL Class A Required
  • 3 years direct industry experience driving oil processing rigs and performing processing services on substation equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
  • Travel to site and set up processing rig by running hose to transformer being processed.
  • Startup rig and monitor transformer insolating fluid by testing every hour with onboard mobile lab.
  • Monitor and record vacuum and temperature gauge readings every hour.
  • Once required reconditioning or specification has been met remove oil hoses and pull oil samples.
  • Be willing and able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out of town jobs.
  • Be willing to travel 80% of the time and able to work regular overtime including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Account Manager:

Manages regional and/or target customer accounts primarily for the purpose of building and maintaining an ongoing business relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and the company.

Account Manager Primary Duties:

  • Travel to customer sites, build good business relationship, promote products and services.
  • Solicit business opportunities including making cold calls
  • Review customer specifications to determine whether certain business opportunities are within our capabilities.
  • Create proposals and quotations for products, and services according to pricing policies.
  • Identify market potential and potential sales within an assigned region or market.
  • Prospect potential customer base to build awareness of Company’s offers and build opportunity.
  • Participate in commercial and promotional activities including, attending trade shows and conventions, making presentations to customers, developing commercial material to promote the Company.
  • Lead the effort to resolve commercial disputes within assigned customer base.
  • Provide commercial support and facilitate technical and project support to customers.
  • Assist as necessary in the process of resolving payment disputes with customers.
  • Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions.
  • You will be expected to travel up to 50% of the work week by aircraft or automobile to customer sites. You will work in an office setting or remote locations as necessary.


  • Bachelors in a technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of electrical environments, and past sales of electrical products or services with a proven track record.
  • 5-7 years selling electrical products and services.


Substation Technician


  • Candidate MUST have a minimum of three years’ experience working directly as a Substation Technician.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable / certified to perform substation equipment maintenance (15kV and above)
  • Capability to operate oil processing rig and / or perform electrical testing is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work over-the-road with the majority of the jobs being performed in the Southeast and Midwest
  • Must be willing to work long hours, weekends, and holidays. We primarily schedule techs to be home between most jobs (generally no multi-job trips).

Location: Ideally based out of Nashville, TN. (Must be willing to travel)


AC Motor Technician


  • Complete understanding of electric motor operation and its associated controls.
  • Understand DC motor operation and controls.
  • Have ability to perform in shop and in field balancing and in field shaft alignment.
  • Ability to read and measure micrometers measuring critical machine fits.
  • Understand sleeve bearing operation and have the ability to correct if required.

Location: Ideally based out of Nashville, TN, Midland, TX or Oklahoma City, OK. (Must be willing to travel)


Switchgear Technician


  • Candidate MUST have a minimum of three years’ of experience working directly as a Switchgear Technician.
  • Must have knowledge of breakers and other switchgear apparatus.
  • Must have testing skills and understand testing procedures and equipment.
  • Must demonstrate troubleshooting skills using basic test equipment and electrical schematics.
  • Capable of performing perform diagnostic testing and analysis.
  • Capable of working without supervision.
  • Capable of leading and /or training junior employees.
