Summary

This position is a support role that works alongside more experienced technicians from many different work centers. This individual will have an opportunity to move into a more skilled titled position. This position is not limited to one specific workstation and could work or train in multiple areas of production e.g. Winding, Stacking, Assembly, Tanking, Insulation or Fabrication.

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Must be able to read tape measure
  • Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions, bill of materials (BOM)
  • Ability to perform various processes throughout manufacturing work centers
  • Ability to follow production schedule
  • Ability to safely operate various hand and power tools
  • Ability to safely operate crane and pallet jack
  • Regularly attends work as scheduled
  • Follows safety rules and/or guidelines while performing daily work
  • Follow direction; maintain focus and a positive attitude
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of previous work experience and/or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information to employees within the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

 Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense to practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully an individual shall have basic computer knowledge.
