Southwest Electric is looking for a skilled Quality Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for assuring quality processes are followed and developed within SWE locations. The successful candidate will collaborate to shape and maintain the highest standards of excellence. You will collaborate to shape and maintain quality standards, risk analysis and continuous improvement practices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Root Cause Analysis – Lead / Assist in Root Cause Investigations for Non Conformances. Establishes and monitors Quality and Operational Metrics. Recommends actions to improve performance.
2. Internal Audits – Lead / Assist in Internal Audits at SWE locations after successful completion of training. Assist in Supplier Audits as necessary.
3. BOM Reconciliation – Working with Engineering, reconciles material usage to reduce material variances.
4. Quality Standards Practice – Develop written procedures as necessary and assist in developing training as necessary.
5. Company Policy – Assists in the development of Company Policy , as well as assure compliance to established Policies
6. Morale – Maintain positive morale through communication, actions, and positive use of site assets. .
7. Continuous Process Improvement – Working with other departments, vendors, and other SWE locations, monitors/ evaluates/ revises processes and procedures to assure a culture of Continuous Improvement. Creates /Maintains KPI for all Divisions as directed.
8. Maintain a Safe Work Environment –Support, promote and maintain a safe work environment through the effective implementation of engineered safeguards and safety training.
9. ISIR/Product Launch – Assists in developing In Process/Final Product Acceptance criteria.
11 Other Duties – Continually work in a safe manner in compliance with Company Environmental, Health, and Safety rules and guidelines.

Direct reports include several test personnel/ engineer
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support staff on assigned project-based work.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Preference is a Bachelors degree in Business, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or another similar field.
5 years Manufacturing/ Quality/ Operational Leadership Experience required.
Experience working in a transformer manufacturing facility in a quality role is a plus.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
