Provide commercial support to account managers and customers including preparing quotations, processing orders, completing related electronic and paper documentation, helping to resolve commercial disputes, and maintaining an ongoing business relationship with account managers and customers that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and Southwest Electric.

Inside Sales will work cooperatively with outside sales, sales management, and internal/external customers to deliver exceptional customer and sales support to Southwest Electric Company’s customer base in the commercial and industrial segments.


  • Review customer requests and develop scope of work for quotation preparation.
  • Prepare quotations for Company products and services and route quotations to the appropriate sales channel.
  • Act as primary sales support for sales representatives and outside salesmen.
  • Provide product and technical information to outsides sales channels as necessary to help close orders.
  • Follow up on open quotations and provide updates to sales management.
  • Provide commercial support and facilitate technical support to customers.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites to visit customers, build good business relationships, and to generally promote the products and services offered by Southwest Electric.
  • Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions using CRM software.
  • Comply with the rules and policies established by the Company.
  • Assist sales personnel with prospecting new customers within an assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Southwest Electric Co. scheduling program to provide redundancy in this position.
  • Participate in commercial and promotional activities including, but not limited to, attending trade shows and conventions, making presentations to customers, and developing commercial material to promote the Company.
  • Assist as necessary in the efforts to resolve commercial disputes.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; or three years minimum related experience in electric motor product support, customer service, inside sales, or proposal support; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, ACT, and other software on PC and mobile platforms.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.


Pay Range

  • $60,000 – $80,000
