Account Manager - Product & Services (Central)

Summary

Southwest Electric Co. is looking for an experienced Account Manager to help promote and sell our portfolio of products and services that includes, but is not limited to, distribution transformers, MV switchgear, industrial motors, and field services.  The Account Manager will manage regional and/or target customers from the central United States, including Southern Missouri, Eastern Arkansas, Western Tennessee, Louisiana, and Mississippi, to maintain and grow market share.  The ideal candidate will live in the central region to maximize time management and minimize commute times.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ sites to sell Southwest Electric’s product offerings and services, including transformers, substation services, M/V switchgear, and AC/DC motor offerings.
• Solicit new business opportunities that fit within our strategic goals and objectives while cross selling our different verticals of business.
• Create and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their needs.
• Create proposals and quotations for our products and services according to pricing policies established by Company management.
• Manage all reporting about the health of customers’ accounts.

Requirements

• 5 years of previous industrial Sales experience, preferably in power distribution, manufacturing, oil & gas, or related field
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%
• Previous Substation, Industrial Motor, MV Switchgear, or Transformer experience highly desired
